Fiesta de los Remedios
"Maragatería" is a magic place of peculiarities which you have to discover. On the one hand, the architecture of the little villages such as Quintanilla de Somoza, Boisán or the places more famous, Castrillo or Santiagomillas. (Watch some pictures )

Opposite to this house, you can see the Teleno mountain. In this place, you can find the biggest known goldmine. The whole mountain to Duerna river, is crossed by channels, work remains, villages…

Fishing or walking along the Duerna river is a privilege you should not miss. Its water is totally transparent and it is possible to see trout if you approach carefully. Alisos, willous, ash, cherry, poplar and oak, grows on the sides. Walking between the oaks, near to the river, is a very nice experience. (Watch some Duerna river pictures)

Another recommended possibility is to visit Astorga, walled city two thousand years old, where you can enjoy the Cathedral, Gaudi´s Palace and lots of roman sites.
